Quilt auction final bid
The winning bid announced on March 18 in the silent auction for the queen-size blue-and-white quilt added $800 to First's Memorial Committee in memory of Gladys Swenson.
The quilt was started by Gladys Swenson and Shirley Anderson in 2011. After the death of Gladys, the quilt was finished by Shirley Anderson and Marilyn Moss in 2012. It was quilted by Lori Kukuk. Gladys was a long-time member of FLC, and for many years was the "chair" of the Christian Service Committee. This committee has made hundreds of quilts, garments, and baby items for countless charities. |
