Member Care Committee
The Care Committee is designed not to replace ministerial care, but to foster and encourage the care of all members of the congregation by all members of the congregation. The scope of the care, which is our goal, can never be accomplished by a committee, but must come from the loving care given and received by members. The committee will strive to always be receptive to ideas, suggestions and notifications, but they should never be considered the only ones responsible for member care.
We strive to provide the following:
- Meal(s) for a family when a new baby arrives, a family member is hospitalized or there is death in the family.
- Food and/or a helping hand to serve a funeral luncheon.
- Cards sent or visits made to someone confined to the home or hospital.
- Long-term commitments include regular visits to deliver communion in the home and provide rides to church and activities for non-drivers.
The Care Committee meets regularly and reviews the needs of the congregation. If you or your family is in need of these services, or if you would like to help when a need arises, please contact the church office.
