Seventh Sunday of Easter


From the sixth hour, there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour. At about the ninth hour, Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli Eli Lema Sabachthani,” which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” And Jesus, crying out again in a loud voice, yielded up his spirit. And suddenly the veil of the sanctuary was torn from top to bottom. And the earth quaked. The rocks split. And the tombs opened and the bodies of many holy people rose from the dead.
