Seventh Sunday after Epiphany

“For yours is the kingdom of God.” The kingdom of God is a phrase used by Jesus throughout his entire ministry and so much of his teaching is based around giving just little glimpses of what it means to live and move and work in this kingdom of God. Jesus says he is ushering in the kingdom of God through what he’s doing and what he’s saying. He tells his accusers that the kingdom of God is not of this world. He urges his disciples to accept the kingdom of God with faith like a little child. He says that the kingdom of God is like a mustard seed, which begins as the smallest of things but yields the greatest of results. [To hear the entire sermon, click on the arrow above.]
