Second Sunday of Easter

When it was evening on that day, the first day of the week, and the doors of the house where the disciples had been were locked for fear. Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.” And that house where the disciples had been is a picture of every human heart he cured and a lesson about the consequences of fear. Fear locks doors. Fear puts up walls. Whether it’s a fear of the other or of the unknown, fear of what we do not understand, a fear of loss, a fear of failure, fear of rejection, a fear that our best will not be good enough. All kinds of fear leads to some kind of isolation. [To hear the entire sermon, click on the arrow above.]
