Palm Sunday

 

We find ourselves at the beginning of another Holy Week, and though every week is holy because of Jesus, this week in particular makes the Christian heart glad as we rehearse again the stories which make up our life together. As we wave the branches that will make up the ashes of next year’s repentance. And as we commit ourselves again to the center of our faith in Christ Jesus. The faith means so much for us. It means we’re called to service. It means we’re called to welcome and to offer forgiveness. But in these days, we focus not so much on abstraction as we do this holy person, this Jesus, who rode into Jerusalem so that he might deal with sin, even with our sin, in his own body.
