Fifth Sunday after Epiphany


My grandmother hated it when my grandfather decided it was time to go fishing, but as much as she hated it, we loved it. We loved riding on the old trailer that was hooked onto my granddad’s tractor and making our way through the woods to the pond. My grandmother was always very pragmatic. At the end of a long sweaty day, she would often look at our meager bucket of catch and tally up in her head how much that amount of fish would have cost at the grocery store.
