One week ago, we celebrated again Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem as he rode in humbly on a donkey and was honored by the people who waved their branches of palms and shouted, “Hosanna!” On Thursday, we heard again of the new commandment that Jesus left his disciples on the night in which he was betrayed, the commandment to love one another and to share the bread and wine of his body and blood. On Friday, we mourned again in the shadow of the cross on which the Prince of Glory died. And we identified ourselves with Jesus’ first disciples as we said our closing prayer: Lord Jesus, one of us betrayed you, another denied you, and all of us have forsaken you… [To hear the entire sermon, click on the arrow above.]
