We would make the hour-long drive to the Ellett family cemetery a couple of times a year, bringing decorations for the graves, and I used to walk through the tombstones and read the names and the dates and I would wonder about the lives that those people lived. And my grandfather would tell me stories about some of them that he knew. And on each and every visit, he would always point to the spot where he would be one day, right next to his mother.
