Twenty-second Sunday after Pentecost


Good and evil. They are concepts that are present in our scriptures and in our culture and very often there is very little gray area when it comes to those things. Like pieces on a chessboard, you have God on one side and the devil on the other. You have Jesus on one side and the demons on the other. In the cartoons I watched when I was a child, the devil appears on one shoulder and an angel appears on the other, and Sylvester the cat must choose which he will decide to take advice from: Eat Tweety or to let him go?
